The decoration leaves no space for doubts: this is a Portuguese house, com certeza. Bira dos Namorados arrived in Porto very naturally, celebrating the traditions from the Minho and presenting its guests the homemade flavors that already stood out in the venue from Braga. This is the burger and steak house that best displays the Minho region in all Porto.

Mariana and Diogo keep creating their path and standing out by the venues they present. Bira dos Namorados is a place where we feel at home, where we can go with our family (the paper towels, with drawings to color and games, are perfect to keep the little ones entertained while waiting for the food – and the “big kids” as well!), with friends, or with our better half. The burgers and steaks in bread with original names - celebrating traditional dance and instruments - are in Rua de Ceuta and don't go unnoticed among the sayings in the Valentine's handkerchiefs that decorate the tableware (handmade and painted by an artisan from Barcelos).

The venue, whose name is inspired by the dances from Minho and the traditional Valentine's handkerchiefs, portrays the best that Portugal has to offer, and even though the proposals in the menu are quite simple, they go far beyond the traditional burgers, especially since they all come sided with a very tasty mix of potato chips and sweet potato chips that perfectly match the homemade sauces (taste the philadelphia and bacon sauce with sweet potato!).

When we first visited Bira dos Namorados in Porto, we started by tasting the amazing Tábua Mista (with different kinds of cheese, prosciutto, chorizo, crackers, and jams) and the Alheira balls (Alheira is a traditional Portuguese sausage with game meat), that become especially interesting when combined with the sweet chili and mustard and honey sauces. Afterwards, we tasted the Bailarico Burger (with cod - that's right, and the outcome is marvelous!) and the Premium Burger (made with matured Picanha meat, extra juicy and delicious). To drink, the options are just as wide, from artisan beer to lemonade. There's still room for dessert - all the suggestions are homemade and tasty, but we can't fail to mention the passion fruit cheesecake and the Nutella and Maltesers mousse.

For a winning combination of rustic and modern, wrapped around the tradition of Northern Portugal, Bira dos Namorados is the artisan burger and steak house you'll like to meet. By the end of the meal, don't forget to stop by the shop where you'll find artisan products with national production stamp!
