Hamburgers are trending and at DeGema they are served in a cute space, with three rooms filled with a ton of references to Porto and to the art of creating unique burgers. Created with carefully chosen ingredients and served by a friendly staff, there is no mistaking.

In fact, choosing which burger to try on your first visit (and on the second, and the third ...) is hard, but so much fun! At this spot, each hamburger has a very typical Portuguese name, expressions that can only be heard around here: “Tripeiro”, “Andor Bioleta”, “Botar Corpo”, “Ai o Morcão” ou “Dá Corda aos Vitorinos” are just some of the examples.

We went with the “Tripeiro” – with francesinha sauce! – and the “Botar Corpo” – with barbecue sauce – accompanied by stick french fries and round french fries, respectively. Both include beef, cooked to your liking, but if you prefer a chicken burger or if you don’t eat meat at all, there are also white meat and vegetarian options. If you don’t feel like a burger, try a salad or the “prego” (beef with fried egg and french fries).

For dessert... another tough decision! The options vary daily and all of them are delicious. Between cheesecake, “baba de camelo”, brownie, mousse or various flavors of handmade ice cream... we’re positive you’ll end your meal not only satisfied, but with a smile on your face as well!

During the week, there is a daily burger – a menu that varies from Monday to Friday and allows you to try a burger that you might not have immediately chosen, at a cheaper price, with drink, dessert and coffee included.

Cool Tip: The Hamburgueria DeGema that we refer to in this article is very close to the Coliseu do Porto. If you have a ticket for a show, go early and enjoy dinner at this very cool hamburger joint.
