The InterContinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas is located in an 18th-century building and has a wonderful view of Aliados Avenue. It owes its name to Manuel Cardoso dos Santos, a bourgeois who bought it and left all his assets to his three daughters, known as the "Cardosas". Shortly after this inheritance, the Palace began to be popularly known as the "Cardosas Palace". When InterContinental Porto decided to turn it into a hotel in 2011, it kept its original name – after all, it is part of the city's history.

Maintaining the original facade, designed by architect José de Champalimaud, the Palácio das Cardosas was completely renovated in order to receive InterContinental Porto and is now the perfect combination of traditional and contemporary, with luxury furniture and a collection of modern paintings that delights everyone.

With a premium service, InterContinental Porto has 105 rooms, including 16 suites.
