Museu das Marionetas do Porto is a puppets' museum that deserves to be visited with family. Focused on the work of João Paulo Seara Cardoso, theater director and artistic director of Teatro de Marionetas do Porto, this is an author museum, a place that's constantly updated to surprise visitors who return again and again.

Here, we're invited to enter an imaginary world, where the main characters are the puppets of the stories by Teatro de Marionetas do Porto, next to props and other emblematic objects used in the company's shows.

Accompanied by the stories to which they were part of, the dolls that once came to life are now in the spotlight. Throughout the visit, we're shown the history of Teatro de Marionetas do Porto and some striking moments from shows, and we're challenged to let our imagination run riot.

In addition to the exposed pieces, extracts from television are being broadcast, and they remind us of our childhood times - this trip to the past can only end after you manipulate one of the puppets that the museum makes available for visitors to try. It's time to enter this fantasy world!

Cool Tip: On the second Saturday of each month, over about an hour, and by the voice of one of the company's actors, visitors are invited to take a guided tour. To do so, they must book their place through the contacts of Museu das Marionetas do Porto.
