MISTU is the brilliant result of the mixture of ideas of two friends. At No. 161, Rua do Comércio do Porto, in a recovered building that used to be a metalwork shop, we found an inviting space that results from an incredible fusion of cultures and styles.

The industrial atmosphere that harmonizes with the elegant and contemporary decor pieces, the young and attentive staff that never loses its smile, and (of course!) the innovative menu, are just some of the reasons why you should visit this restaurant and bar.

Divided between hot and cold dishes, the menu, which is in charge of Chef Rui Mingatos, is another example of the good mixtures that happen here: the flavors of the world's cuisine meet the flavors of Portugal and the result is a success. Here nobody will feel excluded, since MISTU presents an inclusive menu with vegan and vegetarian options!

Sitting by the tall windows, you watch time go by, oblivious to any worries, lulled by the ambient music – that's the power this place has. The couvert, fresh and light, composed of vegetable crudités, is the right way to start the experience. We couldn't resist trying the beef tartar, served with kimchi sauce, and we were glad we did. Then, we chose two hot dishes, the Sea Bass Fillet and the Veal Tenderloin, two options that confirmed what we already suspected: hot or cold, meat or fish, all dishes are made with passion and this attention can be felt in the aromas and flavors. To end on a high note, we couldn't miss a sweet treat. So, we opted to try the Dulce De Leche Fondant with Raspberry Sorbet – a sure bet, once again.

For a romantic dinner, a family moment or an escape from routine with friends, MISTU is always a good option. The best thing to do is to make a reservation, because this place is very popular (and you can understand why). However, if you have to wait for your table, do it at the bar, accompanied by a drink, created by the place's bartender.

Cool Tip: If you are looking for a more discreet place to enjoy your meal, the upper floor of MISTU is a more reserved and quiet space that may be the right choice.
