We’re always looking for the best experiences in Porto and, while we don’t share with you all the places we have recently known, we leave you some suggestions for the coming weekend. The good weather has begun to lurk and the sunny days seem to us the ideal excuse to leave home, explore the Invicta and take advantage of it to escape the routine. Do you know these 7 places?

INTRIGO

Facing the Douro River, and in a somewhat hidden place, its facade isn’t able to reveal the wonderful view that we can enjoy on the terrace (covered in winter) on sunny days. Intrigo is dedicated to Alentejo bread, which is part of many dishes on the menu, and to traditional snacks (panadinhos, bolinhos de bacalhau, moelas...). The building dates back to 1950 and was in ruins- it was restored precisely to welcome Intrigo.

LA PAZ

A universe inspired by the Atlantic Ocean and a brand that, more than a brand, is a lifestyle. The La Paz store is on Rua da Reboleira and there are two other inspirations associated: the Portuguese tradition and the clothes of the grandparents of the three founders, childhood friends (who have many adventures in common to share). La Paz reinvents the classics, favoring the work of the best local artisans and producers, and presents us with timeless masculine pieces with a touch of irreverence.

O PORTO DOS GATOS

If you love little cats, I’m sure you’ll also like to see O Porto dos Gatos. This is a place where products of animal origin aren’t used, and where you can live peacefully with kittens that can make any bad day feel better. In addition to offering tasty and healthy meals, O Porto dos Gatos also has a supportive aspect - promoting a new life for the cats that are available for adoption here, through application.

GOLDEN HOLIDAYS BY ROGÉRIO SAMORA

In Rua do Passeio Alegre, the Golden Holidays has the hand of Rodrigo Samora, the renowned Portuguese actor who decided to change the professional area and dedicate himself to exploring a tourist accommodation on one of the noblest areas of Porto. If you’re planning a weekend with friends, this house may be the best option, with a wonderful view of the Douro River. VOGUE CAFFÉ

A luxurious cafe that brings us back to the fashion world. It’s located in Hotel Infante Sagres and has an elegant decoration, thought out in detail, modern and creative. Here, patterns are mixed, pictures are taken and meals worthy of being posted on Instagram are made. Vogue Caffé is a creation of the magazine Condé Nast and already exists in several countries of the world, but in the Iberian Peninsula there’s only one in Porto- don’t miss the opportunity to get to know it!

ORGANII

With multiple brands, products and services, Organii is a store that promotes what’s natural. In Centro Comercial Bombarda, there’s a renovated place where everything- everything!- is biological. With options for all ages, and even with a part of the store dedicated to baby products and a line for men, Organii is certainly one of the most eco-friendly stores in Porto.

CEREAL WORLD PORTO

Milk or cereal first? Well, it doesn’t really matter, because here the real dilemma will be what to order! Cereal World Porto has been a success, and this is due to the more than 100 types of cereal available- from the common Corn Flakes or the Estrelitas, Lucky Charms, Cap’n Crunch or Reese’s Puffs- to the various options of milk (cow, lactose free, vegetable origin...) and the toppings that complete the madness of this atypical meal (gums, fruits, chocolates, crackers, and even ice cream scoops!). You can choose the ingredients and order a custom bowl, or choose the combinations already made available.
